3 Fighting Farmer Baseball Players to Play College Ball
Lewisville High School’s Fighting Farmer baseball team announced this week that seniors Justin Dito, Michael Aleman and Chaz Rasmussen have signed letters of intent to play college baseball.
Three year letterman and starting left fielder Dito, hit .273 this season with 12 RBI’s and six doubles. Dito will travel north to play at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Okla.
Aleman will join teammates Blake Rogers and Joseph Sitzman at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark. The pitcher, who boasted a 2.19 ERA this season, was selected second-team all-district selection this year and the Fighting Farmer’s most valuable player.
Fellow pitcher Rasmussen, a two-year letterman, had a 2.96 ERA this season. Rasmussen will play for Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas.
Jordan Sears, who signed earlier this season, rounds out the cast of baseball players who will move on to the next level.
“Congratulations to all these guys,” coach Mike Campbell said. “They’ve done a great job on the field and in the classroom. I’m very proud of them and know they’ll do great in college.”
